In August, I decided to try something new: Greeting Cards! And wow, did we have a blast painting them! Each participant received three cards, and we painted two of them together, step-by-step. For the third card, everyone had the freedom to create their own unique design. It was such a joy to see everyone express their creativity. The results were absolutely beautiful, with everything from soft washes and gradients to vibrant patterns, delicate flowers, bush scenes, and even some playful neurographic art!
Looking ahead, I’m really excited for our September project, “Petals in Paint.” Plus, I’ll be kicking off a watercolour course at U3A in Kallangur. The response has been fantastic—so much so that we had to split the class into two groups! I can't wait to share my love for watercolour with even more people through these courses.
But that's not all! I'm also planning to launch a new individual course for anyone keen to learn the absolute basics of watercolour. And stay tuned for a special surprise: I'm working on a watercolour book filled with weekly projects and step-by-step instructions, which I hope to release before December!
Things are buzzing here in the studio, but it's all so much fun. Thanks again for your support, and keep an eye out for more exciting updates!
